About
Kimberly Saunders is a writer and performer originally from Syracuse, New York now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her creative non-fiction focuses on humor and honesty and has been published online in The Furious Gazelle, Sweatpants & Coffee, and Twenty-Two Twenty-Eight. Her dramatic works were featured as part of the SUNY Oswego New Voices Play Festival from 2007-2010. More recently, her plays have been produced in person with Davidson Community Players, Union County Playmakers, Arts for All, and online with the 3x10 Virtual Play Festival.

OCT Summer Play Festival
Kimberly’s play “Toute Mort” will be featured in this summer’s ten-minute play festival at Old Courthouse Theatre. She will also be performing in “Sorry, Darla” by Nicole Cunningham.
The Last Five Years
Kimberly directed The Last Five Years at Old Courthouse Theatre in February 2024. This production featured two talented casts and examined our tumultuous relationship with time.
The Innocents
In December 2023, Kimberly recently directed The Innocents with Post Mortem Players in Concord, NC. Based on the famous ghost story The Turn of the Screw, this eerie stage play explored themes of hysteria, doubt, and abuse.
